Description
This medicine is a cephem antibiotic, and shows the antibacterial action by inhibiting synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
It is usually used to treat a wide range of infections such as skin, respiratory, urinary tract, ophthalmologic, otorhinologic and dental/oral surgical infections.

Effect/Efficacy
This medicine is a cephem antibiotic, and shows the antibacterial action by inhibiting synthesis of bacterial cell wall.
It is usually used to treat a wide range of infections such as skin, respiratory, urinary tract, ophthalmologic, otorhinologic and dental/oral surgical infections.
Usage/Dosage
In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (250 mg as the active ingredient [titer]) at a time, three times a day after meals. If the symptoms are severe or the medicine is not sufficiently effective, take 2 tablets (500 mg [titer]) at a time, three times a day after meals. The dosage may be adjusted according to your disease, age or symptoms. Strictly follow the instructions.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. You should never take two doses at one time.
If you accidentally take more than your prescribed dose, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor instructs you to do so.
Cautions
If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch, rash, etc.) to any medicines.
If you, your parents or your brothers/sisters have allergic disposition (susceptibility to bronchial asthma, rash, hives, etc.).
If you have renal disorder.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may interact to enhance or diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and dietary supplements as well as other prescription medicines.)
Contraindication
The most commonly reported adverse reactions include diarrhea, nausea, itch, fever, edema, joint pain, hives, rash and swelling of lymph glands. If any of these symptoms occurs, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.
The symptoms described below are rarely seen as initial symptoms of the adverse reactions indicated in brackets. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine and see your doctor immediately.
respiratory distress, rash, cold sweat [shock, anaphylaxis]
decreased urine output, general edema [serious renal disorder such as acute renal failure]
hyperemia of the eye, high fever, rash [toxic epidermal necrosis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome]
abdominal pain, frequent diarrhea, fever [colitis pseudomembranous]
